About Emeritus Education

We are dedicated to cultivating excellence through personalised education, empowering students to achieve their full academic potential with expert guidance and proven methodologies.

Our Story

From our founder's vision to empowering the next generation

The Beginning

Our founder Dr Judith Amed is an educational consultant with over 35 years of experience, having taught at numerous Sydney schools and lectured at the University of Sydney, where she completed her PhD. During her time as a private English tutor, Dr Amed has delivered outstanding Band 6 and state rank HSC results. As a passionate educator, she believes in holistic and evidence-based teaching, and founded Emeritus Education to provide engaging face-to-face experiences outside of the school setting. Acknowledging the challenges in education within our current post-Covid era, Dr Amed seeks to rekindle a genuine enthusiasm for learning amidst AI saturation and teacher shortages globally.

Where we are now

Emeritus Education is proud to be in collaboration with UTS, successfully delivering English HSC workshops that extend students beyond the school curriculum and into university-level critical thinking. With the recent acquisition of our new CBD facility, we are expanding our student program, working alongside a growing team of dedicated educators. In 2027, we will launch our small-group term tutoring classes, designed to provide personalised, high-impact teaching within a supportive and intellectually vibrant environment. As we continue to grow, Emeritus Education's mission remains unchanged: to empower students with the skills, confidence, and depth of understanding needed to excel in all areas of their learning.

What the future holds

As education continues to evolve, Emeritus Education remains committed to staying ahead of curriculum reform. We are actively adapting our programs to align with the new syllabus, ensuring our students are not only prepared for assessment changes but equipped with deeper conceptual understanding of new content. Looking forward, we are excited to partner with leading Australian authors to deliver exclusive creative writing workshops and competitions. These collaborations will give students the rare opportunity to engage directly with accomplished writers to strengthen their craft. We are also developing targeted NAPLAN preparation workshops and resources designed to build core literacy skills, analytical thinking, clarity of expression, and long-term academic growth.

Our Approach

3

Track & Excel

Continuous monitoring and regular assessments ensure students are progressing toward their goals. We provide term feedback to parents and students, celebrating achievements and adjusting strategies as needed.
